Nestor Vasilakis is part of a new wave of European jazz talent, bringing fire, finesse, and a sharply developed sound to every performance. His playing nods to bebop tradition while carving out a voice that’s entirely his own — fluid, expressive, and full of intent.
Originally from Greece, Nestor has already performed at major festivals and venues across Europe and the US, including the United Nations in New York, Jazzy Colors Festival in Paris, and the EFG London Jazz Festival. He’s shared the stage with respected players like Dave Kikoski and Craig Bailey, and studied under masters including David Liebman and Andy Sheppard. Whether leading his own quartet or joining collaborative projects, Nestor plays with a sense of purpose well beyond his years.
Now stepping onto the stages of Alfie’s Soho and The Piano Bar Soho, Nestor joins the Soho Live Music Club community as a fresh new presence. His sound fits right in — curious, vibrant, and pushing forward without losing sight of where it came from.
